Condat papers dedicated to fine books
Since years, Condat is producing top of the range papers for the publishing market: fine and coffee table books, comics and children’s books, practical books and encyclopaedias are often printed on Condat papers.
The 3 coated paper finishes of the Condat range are chosen for specific properties:
- Condat gloss, the high gloss coated paper, is ideal for books with pictures that sparkle with colour.
- Condat silk, the semi-mat coated paper, excellent balance between bulk and smothness, is the chosen paper for books with both texts and illustrations, thanks to the contrast it gives between the gloss of the four colour inks and the mattness of texts or unprinted areas.
- Condat matt Périgord, the bulky matt, is dedicated to encyclopaedias, atlases, black and white art books. It is also ideal for comics and children’s books. Its high fibre composition gives it a very high level of bulk that guarantees volume and strength to the books. Its extra matt finish brings nice contrasts and fine definition to drawings.
Condat offers also a complete range of PEFC™ or FSC™ Mixed Credit papers: a guarantee that wood fibres come from well managed forests. Its production site based in South West of France is moreover ISO 14001 and EMAS certified, which proves the company’s investment to reduce the mill’s impact on its environment. This sustainable policy responds to increasing worry of writers and book publishers.
Both Condat and Malmenayde wanted to re-affirm through this common partnership their willingness to continue to play a major role within the publishing market. |
