Condat brings Roger Excoffon’s works to life

A retrospective devoted to graphic designer Roger Excoffon is being presented at the Musée de l’Imprimerie de Lyon from 24 November 2011. On this occasion, a new book – printed on Condat Matt Périgord paper – will bring this artist’s most significant works to life.

From 24 November 2011 to 19 February 2012, the Musée de l’Imprimerie de Lyon is hosting a major exhibition devoted to French graphic designer, typeface designer and advertising guru Roger Excoffon (1910-1983). Thanks to the creation of fonts like Choc, Mistral and Diane, of world-famous logos such as the one for Air France, and of posters for major brands like Dior and Larousse, Roger Excoffon became internationally renowned in all areas of the visual arts.

This tribute is also the occasion to discover a new book that not only unites many of Roger Excoffon’s creations, but also presents a number of previously unpublished works. Put together in collaboration with several renowned actors from the world of graphic design and with Condat, a company forming part of the Lecta group, this book has been printed on 135g and 350g Condat Matt Périgord paper.

In fact, with its exceptional bulk, Condat Matt Périgord coated paper is ideal for art book printing. Faithful to the depth of contrasts and the sharpness of drawings, Condat Matt Périgord paper brings extraordinary works to life.
