Condat’s mill is not only one of the most competitive in Europe but also one of the most environmentally-friendly. In fact, Condat was one of the very first papermakers to be granted ISO 14001 environmental certification, in 2000.

Associating environment and energy savings

In addition to the spectacular results achieved as regards environmental protection and as an ICPE (Classified as Environmental Protection Installation, CONDAT includes Energy Saving measures as part of its Environmental approach.
In our procedure, any reduction in fresh water consumption has a direct effect on our efforts to save energy and thereby on fossil fuel consumption. By reducing energy consumption, CONDAT can reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen its position as a socially responsible company.
