The Lecta Group Presents Its First Calendar, “EARTH 2012”

A calendar with breathtaking photographs of the Earth seen from above kicks off a series devoted to the elements of nature.

Today more than ever, we are conscious of how fragile nature is and the need to care for and protect it. The key to this lies in the balance among the four elements that make up our universe: air, fire, earth and water.

Using photographs and colors related to each element, Lecta inaugurates a series based on communicating this balance.

“EARTH 2012” features the element of earth. The calendar is illustrated with aerial photographs by Kacper Kowalski, an architect, pilot, skydiver and photographer who masterfully combines his knowledge of these areas in bird’s eye images that offer us a glimpse of the patterns that human beings and nature create but only a select few are privileged to witness firsthand.

“EARTH 2012” is printed on Torraspapel’s CreatorSilk, Condat silk and GardaMatt Art papers, all especially designed for the most demanding commercial and publishing print runs.

The Lecta Group, a leader in coated wood-free paper worldwide and a European leader in the specialty papers market, is made up of three companies with a long tradition in their home markets: Cartiere del Garda in Italy, Papeteries de Condat in France and Torraspapel in Spain.

Currently, Lecta has nine mills with a total production capacity of approximately 2 million tons and is known internationally as a reliable, flexible and customer-oriented supplier.

Lecta is firmly committed to protecting the environment. All of its manufacturing sites have secured the most rigorous environmental management certificates – ISO 14001 and EMAS – as well as PEFC and FSC Chain of Custody certificates, thus guaranteeing the sustainable origin of the wood and pulp it uses as raw material.
